Sean Breaugh has had the great privilege of persuing his passion for image connected narratives across platforms and media. As a production designer with detailed experience in set and costume design, he has continued to connect all aspects of the visual presentation to enrich character based and environment driven storytelling. His collaborative proccess of design, involving extensive research, reflective text analysis and gut intuition has lead him to work with some of the most interesting directors and producers in the field today.
With a background in dance and performance, he earned an Honours Degree with Majors in Fine Art and Political Science from the University of Toronto. After that, he continued his studies in the bilingual Scenography program at the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal. While studying at NTS, he was offered a position in the design department of the Stratford Festival which he began immediately upon completeing his studies. He continued to work at theatres across Canada, eventually shifting focus to an extensive career in film and television. He has worked on projects throughout Canada, England and central Europe.
Born in Toronto, he divides his time between his base in Toronto and his home in the village of Harrington, Ontario just outside of Stratford.
